Back & Stomache pain

The pain has started in my upper right of my back, under my shoulder blade, then I get what feels like period pains.  After a few hours I get a painful stitch under my right rib cage and the sharpe pains make me grasp for air, the pain then worsens when I breath.  I had this a year ago and went to the doctors, he suggested it could be pluresy. I had blood test and everything came back fine.  After about 5 days the pain eased.  I do suffer from stitch like pains now and again and only twice have they kept me awake all night. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

I agree with CalGal about the Gallbladder, I would also have a GOOD physical workup on heart and lungs. If all of this is fine then start on the Muscles, do you have muscle spasms, pain anywhere else? this could be an indicator of low potassium or magnessium if a muscle issue, etc. Good physical, with blood work  and UA is a great place to start. Write down ALL of your symptoms, even the seemingly minor ones. Good luck
