Breathing Issue / Belching

Hi there!

From last few days I am experiencing un-comfortable breathing. It comes suddenly but no coughing. First I went to a Physician, he just checked my oxygen level and it is found to be 99% and said OK. Then next day suddenly I felt breathing issue again in the evening. And blenching has also started just like some air is trapped in my chest. When ever I blenched I felt some relief. After some time I became normalized. Next day I went to the Doctor again and told him the story he asked for the chest X-RAY and ECG and some blood tests which I dont know. All of them went normal. Then he says that to check with some gestro doctor. I was searching for appointment. Two days I maintained a strict diet and I was Ok. No breathing problem as in observed some times abdominal pain due to Gas. But OK. Then one day I eat some oily food and breathing problem come again along with blenching. When ever I blenched it gives me some relief in breathing and some times I breath it gives me greasy/oily taste in the mouth. Now I am looking for gestro.

But any body has the same issue or can help me out ?? Pls let me know

Hi, the problems with breathing can occur if you have hiatal hernia.  A hiatus hernia or hiatal hernia is the protrusion (or herniation) of the upper part of the stomach into the thorax through a tear or weakness in the diaphragm. It is caused by obesity, being pregnant, age, or thinning of the phrenoesophageal membrane. Your symptoms could also be due to GERD, Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus. A consult with help will help in assessment and based on the diagnosis, therapy can be initiated. Regards.
