COMPLEX PATIENT

I have IBD ,resulting in me having to have a sigmoid colostomy and colectomy in 04 and 05 , i now have interstitial disease and have had a surgery to tighten my esophagaus ring , then a broncoscopy twice , a lung biopsy , and most recently 6 weeks ago diaphramatic surgery for a paralyzed diaphram . How the illness are connected I am not sure except I was told it was due to my comprimised immune system .
I am having a problem with getting financial help with my elememtal supplement of which I take 8 a day , at $130. a case . As we speak I am just finishing my last product which was discontinued ,and this peptenex by nestlle's is all tha's avaiable to me.??? If anyone can share with me any success or anything they might had I would appreciate it .
thank you

sorry for the typo - It should have read "UC", not IC.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Do you have Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis? I have just become the Community Leader for Crohn's, having had it for 38 yrs, and can maybe help in that context. I don't know much about IC, except it is also an auto-immune disease, and that it only affects the large bowel and the inner mucosa.

You could try posting on the Expert Gastroenterology Forum where Dr. Kevin Pho answers questions - he is very well informed on IBD and indeed on gastro issues generally. I have used that service a number of times in the past few years. You have to pay, think it is now $19, but well worth it for his advice.

Take care.
Liz.
