difficult swallowing

I too have been having such discomfort whilst swallowing, if I didnt swallow it wouldnt hurt.
It really started about 3 months ago. I had taken 2 Stressless tablets and they seemed to lodge in my esophagus even when I swallowed water. When eating my lunch 2 hours laterI, every mouthful I ate made me feel really sick.  After a couple of weeks I felt better and no more "stuck" sensation when I swallowed. Then after the 2 weeks the discomfort started again, and thats how its been until now. Today has been especially bad.
Im due to see the doctor on Thursday. I had previously booked 2 appointments to see the doctor last month and the month before but cancelled them as I was too scared to go, well this time Im going to keep the appointment.  Im 68 and I have arthritis and had regularl used NSAIDs, and also supplements to help the arthritis symptoms I feel these things have done something terrible to my food pipe.

This is called dysphagia and there a number of possible causes. It is a life-threatening problem and requires an evaluation by a specialist. Do not allow your primary care physician to "blow you off".
