Thank you so much for all your wise words of advice. I will look into the cancer under the arm problem, I hope Thats not the case.  The problem here can be that they only want to cosentrare on one problem at a time. I am diagnosed with pancreas tis, but if there is a chance of breast Issues how do I  getthem tofocous on that a the sametime.  You see my friend, I just in the last year was hospitalized and diagnosed with pancreastis, andbthey are still trying to find the cause. I guess I am stuck in between ahard place and a rock.

Than you so much my sweet friend for the references, I will be sure to follow upon it! God bless you for caring! You are a sweetheart of a person! Thank you!

Rose,
I replied to another post about your chest symptoms.  But here is a very good website that tells you in plain words and descriptions what your pancreatitis is, how it can be treated, and I think if you read what's in the following link, you will KNOW what the docs ought to be doing or at least recognize what they have done so far.  This webpage also has links at the bottom that may lead you to a place where they can offer better treatments.  Here is the link for people with pancreatitis and pancreas problems in general:

http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/pancreatitis/index.htm

I hope this helps you sort through this, specific care depending on what's going on with your pancreas is available to you, if only the doctors will follow standard treatments as relates to specific symptoms.  GG

GalCal:  they did hospitalize me last yes with IV and starvation. Had many reacurance since, but they are avoiding treatment and in hospital stay. I have Medicare AB and for some reason my primary care doctor's off would only take basic test to say negative in pancreas elevation size. I went in and told them what I thought it was and the through their hands up ad to say, nah" it's not your pacreas the blood work said normal. But then I kept going back for same problems but this time with changes in the pains position. So they said it's my neurological system. Then they guest to say it's  pitched nerve. I told them that I was bloated, can't go most times, and that I was still having organ spasms. They said it's athiritist and sent me to a rhumiatologist. The rhumitologist said that he got the test result from the my doctors. My kidney showed something but they just left it like that. They said my metabolic system was a little high, but still passed it off like it was unrelated to anything and normal in most people my age. No treatment. So the rhumitologist took time with me, talk to me, and heard my concerns. He alienated all rheumatoid factors. Pressed on my abdomen and I grabbed his hand when he hit the center because it was sensitive. I said oc it feels like my sternum is broken. He told me that's not your sternum that I was touching it's your pancreas, so he said they didn't order the right test to complete a elevation reading. At that point he did a complete blood test a step up above what they had already done. It cam back showing elevation in my pancreas again as we both thought. I had just previeously taken a ambulance ride to the emergency room where the pain was in my front center straight to my mid center back and radiated around to my right sized debilitating me, and disrupting, each breath i took came excruciating pains that made me hold my breath. They only did blood test and cat scan that they say wS normal. They said all blood work, again saying it showed no elevation. Now GalCal, I am puzzled as to why one doctor is doing the right test to say there is elevation which matches the servierity of my pain, but the Gi doctor and my primary care doctor act like I am just making stuff up.
I followed up from the Rheumatoid doctor to my GI doctor. He ordered a test like MRI with a different dye to use, because I am allergic to contrast dye. While ordering the test and speaking to Rhumitod doctor , he looks at me and say, I am puzzled. Now am I ignorant or what because in my mind I am her and believing the he is an endocrine GI specialist, and  with all the patients now dealing with this disease, how is he puzzled? He never once focused, talked about, nor contemplated it being anything but gallstones. When he couldn't see any of them, he never gave my galblatter another thought to research bile ducts or anything that I have read about here in thus form. Being in this form I feel like for the first time someone hears me. That they know what's wrong with me and that they have greatly eqquipped me with more information to help the doctor move right to the problem and stop playing dum. My own doctor office, two different doctors told me that no matter what's wrong with me that they got to give me meds, send me to specialist, with lots of blood test before they can even go right to CAT SCANS, or, MRI'S or any other text to get right to the treatment. I am starting to believe that they are even avoiding a hospital stay to treat the elevation right now. Right now my pancreas is elevated. No one helping my, and the pain is crazy, can't et nothing that don't give me pain in stomach, now I am for the firsrt time experiencing some diariera little more loose then normal, but not runny. What can I do to help myself? Can some one help my find a reprieve in getting treatment.

Braintoobig: Yes to both, first! Yes I was diagnosed with pancreastist second no they have not exactly looked at my galbblater per say, they just talk about stones. They say they can't see stone in the cat scan but that's all the did, was take blood and cat scan! It's been a year now.

There is a 'standard' form of treatment to try to stabilize anyone experiencing pancreatitis. If your doc puts you in the hospital, the inital treatment will be to help control the inflammation. They'd start treatment off with fasting. You'll stop eating for a couple of days in order to give your pancreas a chance to recover. Once the inflammation in the  pancreas is controlled, they'd start you on drinking clear liquids and eating bland foods. Over time, you'd go back to your normal diet (minus a lot of fat), and in many cases they'd want you to take enzyme supplements.

If your pancreatitis continues and you still have pain with eating, the doc might recommend a feeding tube.

Pain meds would be added to help control the pain as needed and based upon your doc's recommendation.

Were you diagnosed with pancreatitis already? Have you had your gallbladder checked for stones? Did they do any blood tests?
I would avoid anything that is hard on the stomach like greasy food, spicy food, and acidic food. Coffee is pretty acidic and can irritate the stomach. Also drinking alcohol can really cause a bad flare up of pancreatitis and should be avoided.
