Diarrhea for days

I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.  
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.
Last night at the ER they could see no reason for my symptom. The only symptom being sever diarrhea. A side from the dehydration which they gave me 2 bags of sodium chloride intravenously which completely rehydrate me.
When I say sever diarrhea,  I mean sever!  I'd say I am having about 20 episodes per day. I am literally running into the restroom ever 10 minutes with watery green diarrhea.
They prescribed cefdinir taken orally 2 times a day.
Is there anything else I should worry about.

Just a thought, but have you tried probiotics? Yogurt, or S. Boulardi.

food poisoning can last 10 days. if you still have the diarrhea after that, then you should worry. right now just keep hydrated. Coconut water is the best for this. Feel better!
