Digestive Problems After the Stomach Flu

My doctor has prescribed Prilosec for gastritis I have developed after having the stomach flu two weeks ago.  If gastritis is caused by H-Pylori, wouldn't it seem that antibiotics should be prescribed to kill off the bad bacteria?

There are some fairly simple tests to check for h pylori.  I would ask for one if the Doctor is receptive.

Gastritis in an inflammation of the stomach. It's not always caused by H pylori.
