Nausea issues

I have read a lot on these boards of people complaining of nausea, me included.  I have suffered with it daily for months, no relief even from Zofran.  One Doc said I had a motility disorder, another one said IBS.  I was pretty much confined to home.  Read ginger tea helped so tried that, with some relief.
Saw a GI doctor at Stanford who suggested Ginger and Acupuncture.  I had gotten acupuncture before with great results for sciatic issues.
Made an appt with my acupuncture doctor, who is great!  Does not take our insurance but worth going to.  He is also an MD and General Surgeon.
He suggested I get fresh ginger root, use a juicer and add honey and warm water and drink twice a day.  I don't have a juicer do take small pieces and squeeze out the juice with a garlic press and add a little bit iPod the ginger, some honey and warm water.
I doubt it is co-incidental, but about after the 2nd treatment and drinking the ginger and honey, when needed, for the first time in months, I am not waking up nauseated and am able to eat something besides soup.  I do still take Omeorazole but stopped the Clonidine and Prozac.  I still get nauseated a bit but am so much better!
Couldn't hurt to try if you have a good acupuncture Doc in your area.  I know a few of the points he uses are in my hand, wrist. Top of my head and my stomach.

Thank you for the response.  I think I have had about every GI test done.
Who checks hormonal endocrine imbalances. Metabolic issues, etc?  I have had 4 thyroid nodule biopsies done now.  I do have severe Osteoporosis and a new Internist I am going to has ordered a new bone density test.  I have been having bad neck, low back and hip pain.  I don't think my Endo doctor has been following up on that like she should but I won't take Actonel or Fosomax.  I continue to have night sweats, chronic dry mouth and throat.  Not sure what to do.  Not happy with the doctors here.

Hi there!

While it’s good that natural remedies have worked out well in your case; nausea itself is a very non-specific symptom and could result from GI infection/ inflammation, micronutrient deficiencies, GI motility issues, o non-GI causes such as stress/ anxiety, hormonal/ endocrine imbalances, metabolic issues, micronutrient deficiencies, medication side effect etc. Management in most cases would depend on the underlying cause and usually a detailed evaluation by an internist would be suggested for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
