The Dr could have scraped your esophagus and that can cause constant irritation because of eating and drinking.
I just had a scope done week before last and I went over all the possible complications with my Dr. Thank goodness the scope went great with just a little sore throat that day. I'm just kind of surprised your GI will not admit there could have been a problem from the scope. I'm so sorry you're going through this. You really need to find another Dr as soon as you can.
Your deff right though, need to see another GI and get another opinion
They observed inflammation and the biopsies showed a high number of eosinophils in the upper part of my esophagus suggesting an allergic reaction. No evidence of any acid, no erosion, nothing like that. It was like night and day; the day before I was easting a NY strip with vegetables and potatoes with no prob, and after the scope the next day I had a turkey sandwhich and I had the worst burning in my life. I remember it so vividly because it was the first time it had ever happened.
There can be complications with any procedure. Yes, it could be a coincidence that your started having these symptoms after the scope.
Did your Dr find anything else beside the allergies, like inflammation or too much stomach acid? If you had any of these, even if they were just starting before the scope, they could be causing your problems.
I would recommend you see a different GI Dr. Having acid that is bothering you everyday is not a good thing and needs to be addressed.
