Thanks Sam...I will try Micheles today Lynda
I think it's times 4.7 cm = 47 mm so multiplied by ten. Lynda, check out this booklet, it might help: http://www.creoninfo.co.uk/pdf/Booklet1.pdf.
Give some thought to the Yahoo! Group. There's no charge and you might get the answers and support you need right now. To find it, search the web for Yahoo! groups. Once you have the page where you can search the Yahoo! groups, search or "sphincter". There are about five of them. Only two of them are really worth joining. Michele's [Sphincterofoddi_pancreatitis] is by far the best as she is a registered nurse and an uncommonly kind, empathetic and supportive woman. Maddi's [sphincterofoddi-pancreatitis1] is wonderful, too. Just put in a request to join and within a day or two, they'll let you know that you've been accepted. Hopefully, if you join, you'll say "Hi" to me there?
All the best,
Sam
Thanks so much You said the head is usually 3mm..2.1 Mine is 4.7 x 3.6 but cm. This is really stupid but what is the difference from mm. and cm
Hi Lynda:
I can surely understand how anxious you must be. I think the pancreatic head should be 3mm, the body 2.1. I'm not too sure whether that is considered to be a significant enlargement. Pancreatitis is terrible and I'm glad you haven't had it.
Honestly, I'm not too sure what all of that means but I belong to a Yahoo! group whose members may be able to help. Sphincterofoddi_pancreatitis AT yahoogroups *******. Since medhelp usually blocks these out, feel free to write to me for the address. Michele, the Moderator, is an R. N. and she can usually help with interpretation of reports. Of course, I'm not a doctor and neither is she.
Visit Lab Tests Online at http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/cbc/glance.html and check your labs.
Good luck and Godspeed. I think if they had anything vital to tell you, you would know immediately so hang in there.
All the best,
Sam
