Feel like I have chronic appendicitis?

For 3 years I have been dealing with bouts of acute RLQ pain and went to ER countless times. I try to avoid it now despite how bad my symptoms get. I have been diagnosed with IBS, ovarian cysts and a "twisted gut" ( which is a bowel obstruction that self resolves. I just feel like the doctors are not taking me seriously...to the point that after the acute phase does subside I do wonder...is it in myour head? Until, the next episode hits, and I am validated this immobilize Nguyen pain is not in my head. I am 40, have 2 kids to take care of, and hate when Mommy needs to lie down. I saw previous posts on this but nothing recent. I just don't understand why the pain is in the same location. And here I am with another episode starting and I am terrified to go back to the ER. It's like once they decide it's not appendicitis, I am quickly sent on my way. I sometimes feel like they think I am making it up. It is very sad and lonely. Any advice would be appreciated!

Getting a second (or third) opinion on the diagnosis is an option. Second opinions don't hurt and in fact may even help. It can help to confirm the diagnosis, which is essential to then getting the treatment right.
It sounds like all of this would be really stressful too and sometimes finding a support group of others who "get it" or working with a therapist who specializes in working with people with chronic pain can help with coping with it all.
