a little airy

Hi
My husband was severly jaundiced, with gallbladder obstruction. He was diagnosed with Mirizti Syndrome prior to surgery. Surgery became a very complicated surgery, and he ended up with a t-tube for the last 3 weeks. He had a t-tube cholangiogram done, with no leaks noted on thursday. They pulled the tube, and he had a large amount of bile leakage for about 8 hours, then it stopped.
We noted that his abdomen was becoming distended after removal of tube. today it was larger, but not excessivley so. Was told to go back to e/r.   C/t revealed that he had air in the abdominal cavity about the size of a cantaloupe.  Why? If no leakage?

no, I dont think that he is stented.  But I made a mistake with the air being in the
peritoneal cavity.  m.d. said that his stomach was full of air about the size of a very large
canteloupe.  Said that there was  possibly a leak, that sealed it self off.  ????

Is he stented? It's possible that the site of the leak could be obscured. It may not allow the passage of dye, but it could allow passage of air from a recent test - just a thought.
