Gallbladder Problems?

Let me start from the beggining.  Over a year ago I was freaking out because I thought I was going to have surgery on my shoulder.  I cam home one day during this and ate some pizza.  After that I had problems breathing and had small pains in my chest.  I went to the emergency room and they did an EKG and I was fine.  I went to the Docs the next day and she sent me for a ultrasound of my gallbladder and a cardio/echo.  Both came back fine.  During the ultrasound though the lady was very rough, which was odd.

I started getting better but I started having a pain right below my right rib.  This is where the lady did the ultra sound and my Doc figured that it was just sore.  Fast forward a few monthes and it is still there.  I told my Doc and she did a full ultrasound of my abdomen and sent me to the Gastro Doc, but she thought it may be muscle skeltel problems.

The Gastro Doc looked me over and said he didnt think it was my gall bladder and said to let it go for a little bit.  I did and it went away.

About a month later it came back.  I told my Doc and she sent me for a CT scan of the chest and abdomen.  Both have come back fine.  I went back to her and she still doesnt think it is my gall bladder.  I was also told my the Gastro Doc that the HIDA scan is not 100% and he does not like having them done.

This is where I stand right now.

I can eat whatever I want and it has no effect.  It is either there or its not.  I can use the bathroom with no problems and no nausea or vomiting.

Symptoms are dull pain under right rib, pressure on back near bottom of right rib and a little higher.  Stretch feeling in lower abdomen on right side and back.

Any ideas?  Anything would help.  Thanks

Hi, I am currently 31 years old and I just had my gall bladder removed in end Feb 09. I did experience the pain on my right side under my rib cage and my surgeon mentioned that it is normal as my organs are still healing and it may take a while for the pain to go off. I went to see chinese sinseh and since then, the pain did ease off.. there's still this dull pain but not as painful as before. Eat more fruits & veg and it will help:)

Yes I have had all the blood screens.  I should have said that.  I have also had the urine tests for the Kidneys.

The area you're describing sounds like the liver. Have you had all the blood tests? Like a liver panel and hep screen?

I went like that for a year and a half.  Finally, I got the Hida scan and it showed a problem.  I got rid of the gallbladder and it is all better now...I have so much more energy.
