Gastrointestinal

Hi.. I am a 46 yrs old woman, non-smoker, non drinker. Exercise everyday. Dx with GERD/Gastritis in 1988. I take ranitidine on and off. I watch what I eat to avoid reflux. Dx with IBS in 1995. Recently I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Dx - diverticulosis and stomach showed chronic gastritis. Developed difficulty swallowing food (not the lump in throat you get with GERD) I had right side (under ribs) pain since july 2010. ER did an ultrasound. Huge gallstone in gallbladder. Had gallbladder removed. We are now it Nov 2010 - Right pain is still there. Dr suspects gastroparesis ... I take domeproridone 5mg to help with digestion but pain is still there. I still have difficulty swallowing. I am confused by these attacks because the feel the same as before gallbladder removal. Lost 21 lbs since July. Will be undergoing barium swallow and another test to see how my stomach empty. I am starting to wonder about my pancrease/liver? What kind of test should I have done to rule out stones or bile problems? Thank you!

After my gallbladder was removed I developed acute pancreatitis, now almost 2 yrs later I have chronic pancreatitis and insulin dependant as my pancreas has stopped working, but it sure hurts.  Blood/lab tests will show lipase and amylase.  CT scan would help diagnos other problems.

I suspect a twisted intestine somewhere.  Mention that to your doctor and see what he says.  This is quite unusual.  I would also question the Appendix and then I would consider real diet conclusions.  Let me know.
