I also have the feeling of something stuck in my throat and therefore always feel the need to cough and/or clear my throat. Its very annoying.Feels like there is phlem hung up in there.I also have hep C and have been told this is the reason for all my gastro problems so IDK?????
You probably do not have acid reflux if you have hiatal hernia-even a small one. And this would be enough to cause your symptoms. It is the obstruction
of the lower esophageal valve into the stomach that is causing all your problems.
Just look up" hiatal hernia self massage video" and that should help you with this. For further help to eliminate the hiatal hernia you can see a Chiropractor who is familiar with this. No need for surgery or medications!
Consider discontinuing your ineffective medications. Why suffer more damage and side effects for nothing.
Please do proper research for it.
Hope this information helps.

EyesofBlue, has your doc checked you for problems associated with the 'no longer present' gallbladder? People can have continuing problems with their biliary system even after the GB is gone. Make sure your doc checks your liver and pancreatic enzyme levels. You may also want to ask to have an MRCP done to see if there are any changes to the common bile duct, or 'leftover' sludge or stones. It's also possible your bile duct or muscular opening to the duodenum could be spasming. Has your doc suggested you try some antispasm meds to see if that's a possibility? And are you also following a low fat diet? It might be of help.
I do not have my gallbladder anymore
