Borhave Syndrome

BIQ
I do not have cancer but there is no 'Topic' catagory for my ailment. My esophagus exploded after a handful of vitimins lodged in the sphincter above. My esophagus was removed, my stomach was then connected directly to my throat. My stomach is now stapled in a cavity on the left side of my chest atop my heart. I have many painful symptoms of other diseases because of my screwball reconstruction. Life is hell. I'm just looking for anyone else in the world that feels like Humpty Dumpty that I can relate to. I was a beautiful, healthy, strong, active, runner, farmer.beekeeper. Now I am in constant pain. Disfigured. Lonely, I am slowly losing my mind! Does anyone even know what "Borhave Syndrome" is?

I've heard of Boerhaave Syndrome but have never met someone with the condition. I know what you've gone through has problably left you feeling like you're the only one in the world with the problem, but it's not an unknown condition although it is rare in many senses. However, a large number of those who have gone through what you probalby expereinced didn't make it. If you look at it in those terms, maybe you'll feel a bit better?

It's a shame that when it rupture occurred, the docs weren't able to manage it more conservatively.

Have you gotten other opinions as to whether or not they could do a take down and reconfigure your system in any manner to make everyday living more comfortable?

I'm sorry I've never head of Borhave Syndrome.  And I'm sure I have no idea how awful it must be to live with it.  Makes my current situation (even though its the worst I've ever felt and no one knows whats wrong with me) seem so minor.  But I do know what it's like to have been healthy and normal and then to have your life suddenly ripped away from you, to be scared and to feel like you’re all alone in the world.  People keep telling you they hope you feel better but nothing helps and after a wile they just keep saying it out of habit and not even the words mean anything anymore.  If you need some one to talk to I can try and help, though in my own depressed state words of comfort aren’t always readily available...I guess all I can say for now is try and hang in there, do your best with what you have…and if I was there I would offer a great hug for you.
