Hemroids? Pls help

I have posted this question in another forum but no answer so far.

Ok I went to the GYNO last week for a pelvic exam over something completely different than hemmroid probs, in fact I had been told by another Dr that I had genital warts of the anus.So I went to my GYNO because I just felt like this diagnosis was absurd! Come to find out its prominent sebaceous glands (like white heads or blackheads) so anyway we didn't delve into the convo of hemmroids too much as I was not there for that reason and he didn't do an exam of the rectum or anything but since he was in that area I asked him if it looked as though I had any hemmroid probs because I had a baby 5 months ago(c-section) and I am a bit overweight. He told me yes that it looked as though I was still having a bit of hemmroid issues but he never discussed what I should do for it or anything, probably because I was asking one question after another, I tend to do that when at a Dr's visit. Anyway here's the deal. I want to get my digestive tract in order so I have been drinking prune juice and eating prunes and eating fiber cookies and yogurt pretty much everyday and I still do not feel like I am regular. I do not go everyday and (TMI) but I have a bit of itching every now and then in the rectal area so when I go to apply prep. H I feel around in that area for protrusions. I only feel like this "mass" type feeling if I bear down a bit and it really freaks me out because I worry about cancer. I do not know what a "normal" colon feels like if (tmi) my finger can easily slide into rectum or not. Sorry for being so informative but this is my problem. I do not have any pain, nor have I noticed any blood on toilet paper or in stool. I really don't know if I should schedule an appointment with my GYNO again or someone else or try something myself. Guess I am looking for reassurance that it's no big deal. I am a 31 year old mother of 3. I'm 5.2 and weigh 185 (I need to get my weight down I know) I had my children c-section and have had hemmroid probs with all 3 , (thats what the dr's told me, I never actually seen anything, but seriously no dr has given me any advice on it. Like it will heal on its own I guess is what they are thinking or that once I had the baby it would go away? Please help me out here!

I agree, see a Gastroenterologist as this is their specialty.  The itching is from the hemorrhoids and if the Prep-H doesn't help, try Cortizone 10 cream.  Eat a healthy variety of foods to include fruits, whole grains, leafy green vegetables and drink plenty of water.  With what you're describing I feel this is all hemorrhoid related and is easily treatable, but it's best to see a GI doc for this.  I wouldn't worry so much about anything serious.  Hope this helps and best wishes.

Yep, see a GI doctor if anything just to at least ease your worry. Don't get embarassed about it, tell them you need a rectal exam if you have not had one done. This is a medical issue so nothing to be worried about. Get checked it could be something that can be easy to take care of.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Hemmorhoids are a very common problem, so I would worry too much about them.  I would recommend you make an appointment to see a GI doctor who knows more about hemmorhoids and how to treat them.
