How do I know if this is Diverticula

After being diagnosed with IBS although I hardly believe I have the symptoms and reading in the Internet I saw my symptoms likely to match the non-stomach pain symptoms. My main issue is belching, and gas that my stomach develops when I eat. I have a bloating issue on the left side of my abdomen (left to the naval) and a bit lower to the side. I am afraid that this could be divericula. Can ultrasound detect it? Can a physical examination detect it? I do not vomit. not do I have nausea, I do not have pain, nor do I have fever. I have a bowel movement every 2 days and sometimes every day depending on the amount of water I drink and the food I eat. I normally don't eat and had lost 4 KG of my weight in 3 month. I just have this feeling of heaviness or dull feeling after I eat at the lower left side of my abdomen and it make me worried and then I quit food because  i feel discomfort and bloating, then I belch which reliefs my symptoms very much. The bloating does not continue for a long time.

Please help.

Hi - you don't state your age but diverticular disease normally occurs at the age of 40-50+.  I don't know whether ultrasound can detect it - but I believe the more certain techniques include a colonoscopy and barium insertion/x-ray.
