Hunting after an Appendectomy

My husband had his appendix taken out 9/29/08. Our fall bow hunting season starts 10/18/08. Should he pull back the bow? He is still very tender and bruised but feeling better as it has been one week since the surgery. This is approx. 2 weeks away and he is distraught over the thought of NOT being able to hunt. What do I do? Should he go hunting and just take it easy? Will the bow hurt him? Will it stretch his belly and cause some other problem? Help.

Call your surgeon and ask!!! this is very important! We are not docs here!!!
Abdominal surgeries can take longer to heal. PLEASE call the surgeon!!!!!
He doesn't want to injure any nerves or pull any muscles around there. He will be in MUCH pain!

hi, i think in a couple of weeks he should be quite ok to hunt, obviously if the healing process is affected by an infection or something else then he would not be in a position to hunt, but if the healing process goes well then yes he should be well enough to hunt, make it a trial and era situation. cheers.
