help with stomach problems!

I'm a 13 year old girl. I was diagnosed with acid reflux disease about a year ago. My stomach would occasionally hurt and I would feel like I was going to throw up, after trying several pills though, I found one that works. I now take Protanix which seems to work pretty well. Within the last few weeks though, I have had SEVERE abdominal pain to the point where i am collapsed on the ground crying. This pain will only last for a couple minutes although it is by far the worst pain i have ever had in my life. I also have had diareah almost every day and have just not been very hungry at all and feeling very nauseauos. Please help! I'm 13 and i dont feel like i should have to go through this!

Also, to answer your question it is far low and right in the middle like between my hip bones. Also eating does seem to make it worse. Hello and welcome.  :-)  I'm always sad to hear of such a young person having health problems.  You really need to talk to your mom or dad about this new pain you're experiencing.  Any time we have pain that means our bodies are trying to tell us that something isn't right.  That also means you need to see a doctor to diagnose and treat the problem.

Have you started having your periods yet?  Sometimes the hormone changes can cause odd things to happen in your abdomen, but it shouldn't be the severe pain you describe.  In what part of your abdomen does it hurt?  Is it way down low, more to one side or another or in the middle?  Have you noticed if anything makes it worse (like eating) or better (like advil or tylenol)?  Does it happen more during the day or at night?  These are the kinds of questions you'll need to answer for your doctor so he can help you feel better.

Please go tell your parents - tonight! - and don't leave anything out.  You're right - you shouldn't have to feel this badly and you don't have to.  So get going!  :-)
