Intestinal Symptoms and Discomfort

A week ago my husband had what he thought to be food poisoning with vomiting but some symptoms still persist and include what he describes as frequent, soft stools which are lighter than normal in color. He also complains of sour stomach and severe acid reflux. Though he has an appetite, he often has a hard time tolerating foods and becomes ill after eating at times. Could these still be lingering symptoms of food poisoning or was it possibly never food poisoning at all but rather another underlying problem?

Hi......food poisoning doesn't last this long, the body rids itself quickly of the bacteria with vomiting and/or diarrhea.  I would have him see his doctor and go from there.

Would like to know if these symptoms indicate a certain health problem in particular. Our intentions are not to replace the opinion of a doctor but if anyone on here has experience in this field we'd still like to hear from you.
