Starting 5 months ago my daughter started burping up food. SHe is 11 and has had this happen occasionally but now it is chronic. 20 times a day. We went to a pediatric gastroenterologist who did a endoscope which he thought was normal. She had a motility test which found a slight weakness. She had ultra sound- normal, blood work, a gastric scan- both normal and a gall bladder test that the technician could not read because they said she figited too much at the start of the test. (3 hours of torture after a 2 hour car ride). Now she is adding the symptoms of incredible gurgling noises, stomach pain, and almost frightening burps along with throwing up small amounts of food. She is on 40 mg of nexium 2 times a day, and she is taking reglan 4ml 4 times a day. She's on this med for 2 months now and not improving. WHat do we do????????? Her gastroenterologist wants her to see a psychologist. I will take her to one, but my instincts tell me that this is not in her head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She hates it! She is skipping a school trip to an amusement park that she desperately wanted to go to! Help! Deb
