PANCREATITIS??? HYPER/HYPO THYROID PROBLEM????

I'm 58, male and I have diverticulosis, first diagnosed 1-1/2 yrs ago.  Since then, I have had about three attacks.  These were treated with antibiotics and I have learned what I can and can't eat.  I'm controlling it.  After the last attack, my GI doc sent me for CT Scan w/contrast of abdominal/pelvic area.  Unexpectedly, a 6.5mm lesion was detected on the pancreas.  I was supposed to have an endosonography this past Sunday.  Saturday evening, soon after a big meal, I developed an aching in my right back, below shoulder blade, like where my kidney is.  It persisted for several hours so I decided to retire early.  Without warning, I began to feel chills and I could not get warm.  I went straight to bed and under the covers but I began shaking violently almost.  I could not get warm.  I knew that I would soon begin a fever.  I don't think I noticed that pain any more but I had a bad headache and dry, stuffy nose.  Mostly, I just remember feeling hot, even though I was cold.  This went on for about 12 hours.  After the first four hours I just slept mostly.  Early evening on Sunday, I felt a little weak but no pain or fever.  What the heck????  I also have a history of sinusitis but no blocked sinuses or headaches or other pains today.  Did I possibly have an attack of pancreatitis?

Absoslutly do not wait. If it happens again get to the ER. I had a brother n law who thought he had the flu, and it was Accute Pancreatitis. He had never been diagnosed. He went to the ER, but was already Septic.3 days later All his organs shut down. He was only 42.

It possibly could have been pancreatitis.  If that happens again go to the ER immediately because it could become severe and life threatening.  They can take your amylase and lipsase levels and tell you if it is pancreatitis.  It is not a good idea to eat or drink if you are having an attack since that will stimulate your pancrease more and you want it to rest.
