Possible Gallstones?

Hello, I'm a 24 year old female. I'm taking Ortho-tricycline birth control and have been dieting (not crash dieting) to lose weight so I can back down to my healthy weight.  I've lost 11 pounds in the past 2 months, so about a pound a week, healthy range I'm told.   I try to eat healthy but probably still fail.  I eat mainly fruits and veggies, salads, I've taken to drinking smoothies and eating the occasional bagel with cream cheese.  My diet isn't anything spectacular.  1300 calories a day + walking 45 minutes a day 3/4 days a week.

Recently i've become rather stressed, I have issues with Anxiety I know that are untreated and I'm pondering working up the courage to go speak to a doctor about it...  but today while I was at work I had a strange occurance.

I had a breakdown and ate a Kwik-Trip Glazer donut (roughly 220 calories) that some one offered me since I was so good this passed week.   I don't know if that's what caused it, cause all I'd had before was a 90 calorie Yogurt smoothie, a bottle of water and half an apple.

I started having this strange stabbing pain in my upper right side.  it was pulsing if I breathed too deep, if I stood up, if I bent over, if I strained...  I started getting panicky, which made it worse.  I called into a nurses hot line and she told me to keep an eye on it for a few hours and go to the doctor to discuss the posibility of gallbladder issues.

I tried to calm down, gave it about 3 hours, the pain kinda went away (to the point where I could work/concentrate/ not worry about every step I took.  I came home and laid down for half an hour, got up and the pain was basically gone.

We had dinner at 9 (we're late people), which for me consisted of Rice, Corn & Broccoli.  The pain kind of came back just not nearly as bad or noticeable.  Like right now it's gone again.   I'm not having any other symptoms.  No nausea, no vomiting, no diahrea, no fever, no jaundice of the eyes or skin...

I haven't eaten anything since then as it's bedtime, and I've been afraid to eat actually...
I'm going to the doctors tomorrow, but is it safe to say I probably had gallstones?  Or could it be something else? Like a cyst on my ovarie that exploded...?  One of my co-workers made mention of that..

I don't know, i'm very nervous.. can some one help?

Also - yes I should probably go to a nutritionist here soon so I can figure exactly how wrong I am.  I figured if I just a balanced diet (which I do normally when i'm not sick and freaking out that i'm going to explode or something..) fruits, veggies, some meat, dairy etc... that I would be better.  =( I know I need assistance, I just need to get the courage up to speak to someone..

Are you saying by your original freak out that 1300 calories is too little? I knew I was doing it wrong...but I figured if I was losing a pound a week I had to be doing something right...

You'd be surprised... I do eat more, today I was just not feeling well and that donut scared the **** out of me so I didn't want to eat.

My day usually consists of:

A bowl of cereal & milk, a bagel, an apple, a bag of carrots, a banana (even if I can't spell it the first time) some other fruits and veggies, a couple bottles of water, maybe half a sub from subway, then dinner and a snack.

Today I just scared the **** out of myself by that pain and didn't want to eat to make it worse...

i also weight 221 pounds down from 234 2 months ago.

You must be kidding if that is all you eat everyday, no wonder you feel bad, you are not getting a proper mix of protein, vitamins and minerals, carbs and fat, if you don't know how to maintain your diet, consult a nutritionist, don't just think you can go it alone.  Sharon
