Post Gallbladder and Pregnancy Problems

Forgive the lengthy post please....

I was pregnant until May of this year.  During my pregnancy I was severely ill to include: gallstones and pain; chronic heartburn; vomiting daily (the whole pregnancy...I lost 25lbs throughout the months I was preganant); and high blood pressure.  The high blood pressure and vomiting went away shortly after the baby was born and my gallbladder was removed.

Ever since, I have had chronic dairrhea and constipation.  Both with flip flop, but I seem to never be regular.   The heart burn continues, but is less frequent (maybe twice a week).  My stomach has always been a little funny, but lately the cramps, diarrhea, constipation, and heartburn are driving me insane.

Do you have any idea what this may be?  Any help will be great.

My baby is 4 months old and my gallbladder has been out 3 months.  I thought the same thing about fat and tried a low fat diet for 2 weeks without any change.  Thank you for your response

After gallbladder removal bile sometimes can dump into the intestines, causing diarrhea due to irritation. Cutting out fatty foods should help this. I don't know how long you have had this or when you had the baby..some of this may settle as your body gets back to normal.
