Rectal burning after completing H pylori treatment.

I just completed treatment for H pylori . I took Hp pack for 7 days. Three days after completing the treatment I started getting a burning sensation in the rectum. It starts after bowl movement and will stay on for a while. Last night my rectum was burning up all night. At first I thought it was hemorrhoids and I used preparation H but didn't help at all. Is there a treatment for this ?

I wonder if your problem has got resolved. I have the rectal itching and burning after completing H pylori treatment for almost one month. I am still dealing with it. Did you get any final treatment for your problem? Thanks!

Thank you for your response.
I am a 60 year old man. I didn't know  men get yest infection . After reading your response I googled it and it says men do get yeast infection on the genitals ( penis ) but not in the rectum. Confusion confusion !! Where are the Docs ?  Please help.

HI...many get yeast infections from antibiotic treatments...u may want to ask ur dr about this possibility and get a med called DIFLUCAN to help rid u of the yeast....and if so u will want to get the DIFLUCAN every time u get an antibiotic rx.
