Sharp pain under my left breast

I have been having sharp pains under my left breast. The pains are generally sharp and only last for a minute or two but they scare me silly. In the wee hours of the morning I woke with the pain, I did feel as if I had some heartburn also. I have had all kinds of heart test in the last two years. EKG's (several), X-Rays, Sonagrams, Stress test with and with out dye, even a angioplast (I think that is what it is called where they actually go with a tiny camera into the heart and look around.), blood test ect I could go on and on....I have anxiety and panic and doctor thinks GERD and IBS maybe. I am doing a blood test this week to test my liapse levels but doctor said he did not think they would be high. Could anyone tell me if this is part of GERD or IBS. I also have anxiety and panic so for me this is really really scary.

i dont think its GERD or IBS just from the way you describe the pain i would say pre-cordial catch syndrome, costochondritis, or some sort of mid thoracic spinal arthritis, if it feels like a sharp "twingy" pain that doesnt radiate or spread it is probably a musculoskeletal issue in which you need a spinal and thoracic x-ray and maybe an MRI to check for impeded nerves.... believe it or not about a million people go to the doctors about chest pain each year and 600,000 of those cases turns out to be some sort of musculoskeletal issue... look up these condition pre-cordial catch syndrome(texidors twinge), costochondritis(inflammation of costo-sternal joints), and look up ankylosing spondyltits... especially if you are oldeer, put a lot of strain on upper body, or are younger and your breasts are still developing... sorry i cant helpo more best of luck...and i would go and consult with a D.O. doctor of osteopatchic medicine and ask him about musculoskeletal causes of chest pain.
