Stomach Bubbles and Heart Palpitations

I get a feeling like bubles floating around under my diaphram and up into my esophagus when I bend over or put any presssure on my stomach or diaphram and if I don't raise up or sit still or lie still, it will make my heart skip a beat or get out of rythmn for several seconds.  What can I do for this and what causes this?  I have a very high gastrin level and stomach pain on a daily basis.  However, the pain is easier to deal with than the sensation of bubbles moving around in my stomach and chest.  Thanks

I have the same problem and it’s been driving me CRAZY! It’s so embarrassing when I’m lying in bed watching a movie with my SO and my stomach is making so many noises and being so loud that you can hear it over the television. Lol and then the palpitations get so severe that I feel like I could have a panic attack at any time because it scares me so bad. THe only thing that I can think is that maybe the pressure of the excess gas in the stomach is pressing against the vagus nerve causing palpitations. Or possibly pressing against the aorta cutting off circulation to some extent? I also go numb often. In my legs and feet and lips and chest. Don’t know if this could all be related?

Hi Reenie,
I'm experiencing the EXACT same thing as you. I've been dealing with this for about 6 months now, it just came on out of the blue one day. It seems that I get very bubbly in my stomach all the time whether I'm eating greasy food or healthy food. I stopped eating everything "bad" for me and went on a strict PH balanced diet, eating only fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, fresh chicken, no salt, no sugar, no wheat, no soda, no caffeine, etc etc. I STILL get all the bubbles, and my doctor has checked me and said nothing is abnormal with my stomach or heart. I'm not sure what is going on with me, but some times I'll get palpitations from being too anxious that I'm going to get one, and some times I get them from the gas. I don't really feel a whole lot of pressure, but I do feel the bubbles and gurgling, and the build up of the gas, then if I bend over, or slouch, bam it happens. I've only been dealing with this a few months and I'm wondering since it's been almost a year since you've last posted if you figured anything out about it, or found a cure?

I'm exactly the same. Have no idea what to do. Seems like bubbles in the stomach are related to irrigular heart beats. Anyone has an answer to this problem and how to tackle them?

Thanks for your comments and taking time to post a reply.  I do think what I am eating is partly to blame, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what bothers me.  I also have hypergastrinemia and have been screened for a gastrinoma but none was evident.  The proton pump inhibitors work for a few days, then the acid secretion worsens like it backfires.  I have also been diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial tachycardia (sp?) and had my heart checked, but the trigger for those episodes seems to be when I have the feeling of the bubbles under my rib cage and pressure up into my chest.  Burping, using gas x helps, a little, but mostly, I just have to not bend over or do anything that puts pressure on my diaphram just like sitting still or lying until it goes away.  I just can't believe I am the only one who has experienced this and wondered if others had any suggestions on better ways to get rid of the pressure and bubbles.  BYW will be having an Abdominal MRCP next week to again look for a gastrinoma.  maybe these symptoms are just part of too high a gastrin level. (1049-1336 range)

Could be gas from too much acid in your tummy, in which case drink an alka seltzer to relieve it, see if that helps.  If it doesn't help, then you might need to see a doctor about possibly an ulcer, or at least for a stronger medicine to stop the acid.  A lot of people take all sorts of stomach acid medicines, so apparently it's pretty common.

To figure out the source, a nutritionist might be able to decide what you're eating that is causing too much acid.  Then there's people who get so stressed out, they get acidic, and so exercise and relaxation techniques will help with that, or if it's really bad, a psychologist at the county mental health clinic can help you overcome stress problems and even see to it that you get short-term medicine to cope.

On the extreme side, sometimes people mistake their gas/acid problems for what is actually a heart problem, so all the more reason to get checked out by a doc.  They can draw blood and see what your cholesterol levels are, check your blood pressure, that sort of thing.  I mention this because you talked a little about your irregular heartbeat.
