Thank you ggreg! As a matter of fact I did have 3 large tacos with refried beans and a lot of turkey that night before the symptoms started. I haven't been eating as much as I should so recently I started eating a meal every 3-4 hours in the last two days (at first I had to force myself to eat) and drinking liquids, but I haven't had a bowel movement. My gut is barely rumbling or rolling since I woke up 2:30 am. I hope it gets all the way better! If it hasn't gone away by next week I am going to the doctor. What would the doctor look for/ what kind of tests would he/she administer?
It's possible that whatever you ate the day before the 12th (Mother's Day), like a heavy meal with some kind of meat, that the meat is not breaking down like it should, and thus is sitting there in your gut, rotting, giving off gas, which hurts and rumbles, and it ruins your appetite because nothing can get past it. To help break waste down and move it along, every day until you feel better, add to your regular food 100 percent whole wheat bread, salad, extra water, and Activia yogurt, follow the instructions on the package.
It's also possible that you're just not getting enough B vitamins and protein, which they stimulate appetite. And then if you don't eat enough in general, you'll get those rumblings and gas pain. I don't know your eating habits, but you should have scrambled eggs and 100 percent wheat toast with a small glass of juice every morning, at lunch a hamburger with lettuce and tomato, and at dinner just eat whatever you want plus spagetti once a week with a glass of Acidophilus milk.
If another week goes by and you still have the same problems, you really should go see your doctor. Could be you have a little food poisoning or a tummy virus.
