edit: I am only 23 and have been on proton pump inhibitors for gerd over the last year. What we think it could be: ulcer healed very weird, birth defect, scar tissue from possible trauma, tumor of some sort.
This mass should have been biopsied. Wait for the results of the biopsy. It's the only definitive way to know what the mass is.
the biopsy by endoscope was negative, since the mass is under the mucosal layer that was not much help. A needle biopsy using a different scope was an option, however the physician opted against this incase it is something bad and that would risk spreading it.
