This was a response to a dumb ars doc who posted saying they arent related whatsoever.
The Vagus Nerve is truly the mother of all nerves. I went to see "Bodies, The Expedition" a few weeks ago and they had a vagus nerve perserved and I was AMAZED at how big it is. It pretty much is in the whole body. I understand now why I have so many symptoms from my hernia and GERD, it is aggravating the vagus nerve. I don't care what doctors say, I saw it with my own two eyes. It definetly has an effect on the whole entire body!!

Weren't you just questioning a doctor who said palpitations could Not be caused from hiatal hernia?
I know for sure that it causes my heart to get off if I do too much to upset the hernia.
The doctor's having described it as vegal nerve answers a lot.
Look up the vegal nerve. See where all it goes, what it is near, and you'll see why it is a perfectly good explanation for the heart to go a bit haywire.
It's a Mighty Nerve, it is!
Yes, it's true and I have suffered this for years and years, but I have had numerous doctors including a cardiologist 'poo pa' it. Only one elderly GP who I went to for years until he retired explained the same thing to me and he was right. The rest seem to have tunnel vision and I agree that a lot of them are 'silly *****'!
So, why does that make your doctor a stupid arse? It's true. :-)
