Yes a breath test would be better. Also an endo is best, since the anti biotics treatment is fairly tough.
I had uncontrollable sweating after a greasy meal. After my treatment for H. Pylori in 2005 the sweating still continues. I suspect it's my gallbladder which have a HIDA ejection fraction of 7%. Just had gallbladder removed 3 days ago we will see what happens...
The sweating could also be caused by genetics, since some of us tend to burn off excessive calories by raising body temperature.
If you haven't been treated then it's important to find out what you H. pylori status really is, since some of your symptoms (or all?) could result from the bacterium. If you do have H. pylori, then you need to be treated for it. The most accurate non-invasive test to detect whether or not H. pylori are currently present is a breath test.
Check with you doc.
But I have never been treated for H pylori.
Considering you had a negative stool test, if the blood test was based on the presence of antibodies, at this time you may actually be negative for H. pylori since the antibodies will remain in the blood for lengthly periods of time. The presence of a positive H. pylori test may be due to expose quite awhile ago. You may want to talk with your doc to find out whether you are, or aren't, currently harboring the bacterium.
