Please let me know if it helps. All the hours of toilet training seem to have been for nothing as she's having to wear a nappy if we go out now. Will now try anything!
My 14 month old has had this since 5 months old - I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out with cutting foods out seeing all sorts of doctors and just plain crazyness! I was just told by a friend to try a tsp Apple cider Vinegar in water 1/2 hour before meals - I am going to try this today. worth a shot!
Thankyou. The juice thing is what the doctor told me to do too. She doesn't drink enormous amounts of juice anyway and when she does have juice it is very diluted to the point it's just colouring the water, but I am going to try cutting it out completely and exchanging for water or more milk. Thanks for your help
Cut back on the amount of juice your child drinks, and you may also want to start him/her on a probiotic. I assume you saw a pediatric gastroenterologist? Either way, even if it was the pediatrician who diagnosed your child, they should have offered advice on how to handle it. I know juice is normally the culprit. If your child isn't losing weight, or complaining of stomach pain, then it is just toddler diarrhea. If cutting back on juices doen't improve his diarrhea I would have him see a pediatric gastro doc just to make sure everything else is okay. Try to get either lots of water or Pedialyte in your child to prevent dehydration from the diarrhea. Hope this helps.
