Traces of blood in stool (on and off) for over a decade

Hi,

i'm 34 years old, and I've been having traces of blood in my stool on and off since I was in my 20s..  mostly off..

It's not that much but it's there sometimes you can really see it sometimes just the "pinkish" shade of the stool tells ya it's there.. Most of the time it's pretty fresh..

Soooo. my question is, what could this be? and would it be safe to assume that this is not anything serious? Since i've had it for so long if this was one of those really bad stuff then i'd be in real trouble now right?

ps
i'm a pretty fit/healthy guy , I eat Ok, and I don't have any vices except the occasional drinking

See a doctor. I don't want to alarm you, and it's probably nothing more than minor like a small hemorrhoid, etc., but still get it checked and don't do the typical guy thing ignoring it.

I was just like you and ignored mine. It had even gone beyond the minor bleed but I'm a very strong, active and athletic guy, invincible right? Then the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital with insane things happening. It's obvious to me now but I'm still amazed at the signs I ignored along the way.
