Weird yellow string in stool

I went to the bathroom and this long stringy yellow membrane thing was in my stool. This freaked me out because I thought it could be a tape worm or something. Could it just be undigested food or mucus? I have been sick for about a week now... This is the first time something like this has happened to me.

I'm a freshman in college. Just been eating food on campus. I did have Panda Express a week ago idk if that could be it.... I do have a picture of it. Wonder if anyone could tell by looking at it. Guess I'll just go to the doctor if it happens again. Hopefully it's nothing bad

It could be any of those things. Have you eaten anything exotic or ethnic lately? Assuming you're american, even if you've eaten at foreign food restaurant. Could also be some type of food poisoning. Only real way to tell is to have a stool study done.
