Why am I still in pain?

I finished my triple antibiotic treatment for H Pyroli yesterday. I am still getting acid reflux and a painful stomach like the typical symptoms of H Pyroli. Is this the effect of the antibiotics still or could I still have H. Pyroli? How long will it take to know? I have started taking probiotics to replace friendly bacteria lost from taking high dose antibiotics but am really worried still that I may have to take another course of antibiotics. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you very much my lovely. That gives me some reassurance. I am visiting the doctor on Friday so will have words with him and hopefully I wont have to have another dose of antibiotics! Will let you now xx

H. pylori typically results in causing gastritis, so the antibiotics are going to hopefully remove the bacteria but will not cause the gastritis to immediately stop. Most people (and doctors) find they need to stay on a course of acid suppression meds for several months and follow a GERD-friendly diet in order to tamp things down.

Talk to your doctor about follow-up care. He/she should also recommend follow-up testing to check on the status of the bacteria (gone or not gone).
