My dad is in his late 60s, and on meds for blood pressure, cholestrol and reflux. Some of which say not to consume alcohol with, although he still does. He never complains, but i know he is really not felling well.
He eats very little throughout the day, yet his stomach looks abnormally distended, and does not look like "fat. He saw a GI Dr. That recommended another colonoscopy but said his distention is just that, fat and stretched skin. I don't buy it. He gets nauseas often after meals, has constant post nasal drip and a general unwell feeling. . Also, he has loose stools 6-10 times a day. He had a CBC and test for C-diff. All fine. Tey gave him meds to control the diarrhea, but that only masks the symptom and does not give any answers. He was told that he has a mild hiatal hernia, but would that cause these symptoms? He also snores and most like has untreated sleep apnea. He does not like going to Dr. or taking meds. I fear it is something serious that he is not taking care of properly.
Also, i was diagnosed a few dys ago with laryngopharyngeal reflux? Is it what he may have? Is it hereditary? Thank you in advance for any thoughts.
