After colon resection there is internal colon leakage. Can anything be done?

Gosh, that's really hard!!!  That is a complication that thankfully doesn't happen too often but unfortunately happened to your family member.  I've read that some heal on their own as long as there isn't a blockage underneath it.  And others are surgically repaired.  What do her current doctors say about it?
