abdominal pressure, pain and bloating

I am a 50 year old female who has had a partial hyster. leaving my ovaries.  I have also had a bladder repair.  Over the past few years, I have had "attacks" of bloating, pressure and lower abdominal pain particularly on the right side almost like my ovary was swollen.  I also have periods of constipation and diaheria and lots of gas and burping.  Things seem to settle down until the next attack which can last for a couple of days. In the past I had a scope done to check my stomach for acid reflux but that wasn't the problem.  It is and continues to be focused below my navel but I can have pains that circle around to my lower back.  At times, I also have aching pressure on my rectum perhaps due to the constipation.  I haven't had much luck with my family doctor but I have made another appointment because this is the worst episode I have had.  Looking for suggestions and perhaps tests I might have.

I am the CL of the Ovarian Cyst forum and you definitely sound like you may be suffering from cysts.  Please ask for a transvaginal ultrasound and come on over and visit us.

It would be better to get a colonoscopy for your condition, basically a camera from the other end.
My cousin had a similar condition recently and it was actually small cysts on the ovaries, they were burnt off by laser and now the bloating has gone, the pressure may be affecting you digestion, but i would get both checked out.
