chronic nausea

I have had chronic nausea for the last two years.I have had every test there is to have done, scopes, gall bladder, ultrasounds, gastric emptying, hundreds of blood tests, food sensitivies, celiac disease tests, food allergy tests, and many more.  It doesn't make a difference what kind of food I eat, although i eat alot of bland foods because of the awful feeling,I have been tested for milk intolerance.  I am so tired of getting up every day and being sick.  Help

For years, I have had mild nausea, sometimes severe, with stomach pain, chills and vomiting for a week or 2 straight.  After tests and no diagnosis from my doctor, I have found relief with DGL tablets (De-Glycyrrhizinated Licorice).  Since they heal the mucous stomache tissue, I am assuming mine was damaged and/or inflamed.  They have really helped me every time I have a flare-up.  They can be purchased from most health food stores.  Since they require no prescription and  and pretty inexpensive, I would encourage anyone still suffering who remains un-diagnosed to try them.

You all might try some coca cola syrup for your nausea.
I have menieres disease [inner ear disorder] and get constant nausea.
Doc put me on it long ago.
I get mine from McDonalds! [they are more than happy to sell me a bit of syrup only] But I have found it at Longs Drugs under the name of 'Anti Nausea Liquid'.
One tbspn every few hours cuts it! Cheap and tastes good too!
Do find out what is wrong though! In the meantime, this will be more comfortable.

I too have experienced the same thing for nearly 3 1/2 yrs with non answers whatsoever from the drs. I have had so many tests I may not remember them all---bloodwork (multiple times), ultrasounds on gallbladder, liver, kidneys, CAT/CT scan, barrium swallow, intravaginal ultasound, MRI, stool test, anxiety tests, etc. All Clear.  The vomiting occurs especially in the morning & is extremely dibilitating to live with, as it is very tiring to throw up for the 1st few hrs u are awake and then proceed to go to work. It started mildly, feeling sick in the morning, nausea, vomiting, and a feeling that your face and chest are on fire. This would last a few days at a time, then go away for about a week or 2 before returning. But as time went by, the vomiting began to last sometimes up to 8 hours, for sometimes 2 weeks at a time, the nausea is constant, and the rest of my life is falling apart because of it. I have been hospitalized many times due to the severe stomach pain and even worse dehydration.  And if hear anyone say, 'maybe its in your head' again, i may strangle them. All I want to do is wake up and leave my house for work. Is that too much to ask for???

The  drs cant seem to pin point anything, but they admit there is obviously something wrong. I wish they could just figure it out by now. How can we all have similar symptoms w/ no results or answers.

Hi Dina,

I have had Nausea too for a while now and my test results were fine as well. I had an endoscope 8 months ago and they found that I had a mild esophagitis. Anyway, what medicine do you take now if any at all? and when was the last time you took any test?

Take care
