What you are talking about is a Hida Scan with CCK injection. The first part of the test, they inject a dye into you and run a scan of your intestinal system, like your gallbladder and bile ducts. The second part is where they inject this CCK to dilate your gallbladder, it can cause a gallbladder attack in some people, if that is the problem. I just had this test done in August 2009. It takes anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Some people say the second part is uncomfortable for them, but I didn't have a problem with it. I also didn't have a problem with my gallbladder, it ended up being a problem with my sphincter, the bile duct to the pancreas. It is one of the best test to find out if your gallbladder is functioning like it should. Good Luck!
