I Need Help

For the past 2 months I have been expiriancing many weird symptoms. I am a 23 year old male that has been in good health most of my life. When the problems first started it was late at night 2 months ago and I got a terible pain in my center abdomen just below my rib cage and directly above my bellybutton. the pain was really severe and it came with a weird burning senation and some nausea. I was not vomiting at all. I never had stomach acid shoot up my throat but i did have a mild burning sensation in the back of my throat. During this time I was drinking a lot of soda pop and probably eating no so great, plus i rarely did exercise or go outside much. I also had the tendency to stay up very late and sometimes eat before bed. During this time my bowel movements were different daily. Most of the time they were normal. Sometimes they were soft and light grey colored. I had diarrhea once or twice so not very much. Never any blood or mucus that I could see.

For the next 2 weeks after that attack the pain/nausea remained about the same but it was on and off in terms of how severe it was. About 1 month after the first attack the burning pain stopped and some new symptoms started showing. By this time I was eating salad every night with light protien such as fish. I also added more fruit to my diet and stopped drinking all caffine products. Over the next few weeks I on occasion belt a mild burning feeling in the same area with sometimes some nausea. This ended up not being so much of a problem and it became easier to live with it. Everyday I would start to get intestinal cramps all over my abdomen. I am not sure they were intestinal. The weird cramps would go away temporarily after I had a bowel movement but they would return again randomly sometimes a few hours before I needed to use the facilities again. My bowel movements were pretty much normal at this time. My eating habbits were better and I did more exercise. On occasion I would still get nausea and a mild burning feeling in the same area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would really love to know what is happening. I currently do not have medical coverage so if I do not need to see a dr, I would rather not.

Thank you

Yes I did go get an endoscopy. The doctor said everything looked good. I also has a stool sample done which came up negative but I forget what exactly there were checking for again with that test.

All I know is no dr yet has been able to help me figure out what is wrong with me, if anything. I am thinking maybe the 2 different symptom types might possibly be 2 different things. Thanks again for the responses.

I had a h-pylori blood test done when I first felt these symptoms. This came up negative.

hi, your symptoms would suggest overproduction of stomach acid, the burning sensation in your mid-abdomen could be from a duodenol ulcer or even gallbladder disease, mild at that, i still think you should see a gp and ask for a simple h-pylori infection breath test, this bug is the forerunner to gerd disease and a major culprit in causing ulcers, cheers.
