How do you get rid of a hernia from lifting excessive weight?

i had open abdo sugery and moved house 4 months later - beleived everything was healed but had psin on moving my washing machine out of the self hire van . next day muscle pain - but i thought it was from lifthing and shifting heavy objects - a few months later a lump (1/2 orange size under wound site) diagnosed as hernia... took 18 months to get op!!

From what I have read on inguinal hernias, you have to have it operated on, unless Jesus touches you and heals you.  I think I have two such hernias and I am praying to be healed instead of taking chance of surgery.  I found the websites www.merkfuscomd.com/hernia.htm  and the web pages  www.merckmedicus.com/pp/us/hcp/hcp_patient_resource...     helpful.
