intermittent diarrhea

I am 27 years old and have no prior health issues. Back on valentine's day, I ate dinner and later that night started having watery diarrhea that contiued through the night and a few days after. I went to my doctor and he thought it was infection, but did some test and they were negative including stool culture. It got better, but it came with certain foods specially alcohol. I went to a GI to make sure everything is ok and ended up doing a colonoscopy, tested for celiac and more stool cultures were all negative. he even took a biopsy with the colonoscopy and it was negative. the conclusion was IBS, but the treatment (symax) works but not all the time I ate pizza 2 days ago and had a bad night couldnt sleep because of diarrhea and two days later I am still not comfortable with some lower abd pain and discomfort, belching and gas and loose stools but not watery now like 2 days ago. please let me know if there is any other tests and what could this be????

pizza and alcohol may both contain fructose.

I am ok when I eat chicken, beef, or any pasta, rice, bread, potatoes. but when I eat pepporoni pizza or drink alcohol is when I get sick I just hope its nothing serious. I am not sure if anything with the pancreas can affect it or the liver or some underlying cause.

Yes, do a hydrogen breath test with fructose for fructose malabsorption. Prior to that you can read an article (click my username, check journals).
