nausea/goosebumps/chills for a week

Hi there,

About a week ago I ate some very greasy chinese food for lunch. About an hour later, my stomach started to feel quite queasy.  Ever since then I have felt nausea and goosebumps and loose bowels. What could be the cause of this? I thought it might be food poising but it should have been gone by now right? I tried taking pepto which helped but it came back after a while. What could this be? I have not vommited, just feel very queasy.

I have no travelled out of the Country lately. Since I posted this the nausea had went away, but just today it returned. I went to the doctor about a month ago for the same thing. he said it was most likely a mild case of food poisoning. It went away after about a week, but now it is recurrent. It seems like every few weeks or so i get a bout of nausea and queasyness. I was also tested for H. pylori but the test was negative. What could this be?

Hi Steve.
Have you traveled outside the states lately? If so then travelers diarrhea may need to be considered and an antibiotic will probably be prescribed. If you haven't been outside the counry then you will want to see your doctor to rule out any infection or Hepatitis A. Be sure to consume lots of liquids/water to prevent dehydration esp as diarrhea persists. See your doctor.
