I have had bowel problems since April 2007. I could not have a bowel movement when I had my period. After much research on my part, I realized I had Endometriosis & had a laporoscopy done on May 22, 2008. After all the endometriosis was all cleared out, a week later I went regular formed bowel movements everyday for a week. Then I got my period & I went right back to not having any bowel movements. I only went once a week with an enema. I got a supracervical hysterectomy on Dec. 12th, 2008. I no longer got my period but I still wasn't having an bowel movements.
Since then I haven't had a regular bowel movement & can not go own my own without an enema or by taking senna before bed. I would love to wait a few days to see if I could have a normal bowel movement but I can't because at some point during the day if I haven't had a bowel movement I get a huge gas pain or something like it that is so painful I can't eat dinner. I have gone without eating dinner thinking the pain will go away by the time I wake up & maybe I will be able to go another day without using an enema or senna But when I wake up my lower abdomen is so hard & I know there is stool there that needs to come out. If I try to eat I get pain in my lower abdomen & the cycle continues.
Is there anyone that has experienced this? & if yes how did you get out of the cycle?
