pain at the top of my leg where it bends

i woke up this morning with a pain at the top of my leg front facing, where you leg meets your hip and bends, when i touch the area it feels like a bruise or if i have banged it but there is no visible sign there. When i gently press the area it is very tender and i can feel a lump there that moves slightly when i touch around it, kind of how a glad in your neck would. What could be the cause of this could it be something to do with my ovaries?

Yes, in a some people pain can be somewhere else (actually including on the left), but there wouldn't be a bump in the place that she described.

The pain can be referred and be perceived as being almost anywhere on the right side.  Another symptom to really watch would be for a fever and vomiting.  If you have either, definitely head to a hospital.

I am almost 100% sure that it is not your appendix.  Your appendix is higher than that and there wouldn't be a lump.  It might be something like an infection so I would make an appointment to see your doctor.

Wow, really i didnt think your appendix was that low down, i would say it is just a few cm's above the bend in my leg.
