Sounds like gallbadder, you can have a bad gallbadder without having stones, if you had a ultrasound, all it looks for are stones. You need to have a Hida Scan. I had the an ultrasound that showed nothing, went for a Hida Scan & it showed that my gallbadder was working at less then 5%. It had to come out. Good Luck !
Have you been in an accident or had a severe cough before the pain started? I went through a similar thing. Pain in the upper right quadrant that was worse when liing down. My GP thought I was having gal bladder issues as well and odered all the tests which came back negative. He referred me to a GI who suggested a dislocated rib as a result of severe cough.
A pain management dr referred me to a physical therapist who specializes in spinal related injuries and uses a unique treatment that combines chiropractic care with pt. I am now pain free until I have a bout of bronchitis and pop the silly thing back out.
Just a thought to consider.
