What could it be?

Hello,
I am a 19 year old female and i have no kids. I have blood and mucus in my stool, lots of stomache pains, and cramps. Just an overall sick feeling. I have no idea what could be wrong. Could you help me out?

acheson - have you taken antibiotics recently?  Google clostridium difficile to see if your sympoms match - you may need a series of stool sample tests to rule it out.  You mention the blood/mucus is "in" your stool - and along with your other symptoms, Id go see the doc and rule out C Diff.

Rectal bleeding is never normal and should be checked out.  The causes can be varied and if you type in rectal bleeding to google/yahoo etc you can see numerous sites describing symptoms/causes/treatment etc.  You are too young to have the most sinister cause (colon cancer) and probably the cause is minor - but do get it checked out and ask for a definite diagnosis rather than a ...."well, I'm assuming that it is probably.....haemorrhoids, anal fissure......" etc..

A colonoscopy is the most comprehensive test.

Good luck
