possible cause for pain?

Hi, this is my first time on this sight.  I hope I can find an answer.  About a year ago I noticed a slight pain in my middle back, just to the left of my spine.  The pain would come and go.  It wasn't bad, just enough for me to know that it was there.  I tried to notice what might be causing it.  I sit in front of a computer all day, so I thought that might be the problem.  But it seemed to come shortly after I would eat.  Skip ahead to about 4 months ago and I am still dealing with it, only it is worse now.  Have been to the dr. and referred to a GI.  I've had abdomen ultrasound. CT of my abdomen, 2 endoscopies.  I've also been to an orthapedic dr and had an MRI of my back.  The problem is not with my "back".  I am concerned that it could be my pancrease, but all blood tests have been normal.  I have expressed my concerns to my GI dr. but they don't seem to think there is anything to worry about.  This pain has sent me to the ER 3 times in the past two and a half months.  I should also mention that I have panic disorder.  This doesn't exactly help matters.  Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?  I appreciate any help.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.  You can try changing your position when you sit at your computer to see if that helps at all.

I guess I am just at a loss trying to figure all of this out.  I haven't been having too much abdomen pain until this last week.  Last night the stomach pain was pretty bad and still hurting somewhat this morning.  Maybe my back pain isn't related but it is what bothers me the most.  I haven't injured it and the MRI of my back showed nothing out of the ordinary.  Maybe one day I'll be able to get some answers.  Thanks for your comments.  It's nice to have a place like medhelp.

I guess it could cause your back pain, but that would be rare.  The people that have symptoms usually have general symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting and sometimes problems directly related to their pancreas.

Can the pancreas divisum cause my back pain?  I researched it last night and it sounds like, even though it doesn't usually cause symptoms, in the ones that have symptoms, it can be pretty bad.

Ok, the H Pylori was probably was caused the gastritis.  Pancreatic divisum is a congenital defect and 99% of people never have symptoms from this.

I was checked and diagnosed with h pylori in January and also treated.  I had a EUS done yesterday and the dr. said I have pancreatic divisum.  I have not heard of that and haven't had much time to research it yet.  At least it isn't as bad as I was afraid of.

Were you checked for H Pylori?  Do you take NSAID's?

I wasn't really given a specific reaon for the gastritis diagnosis.   These last three days haven't been so good.  Stomach pain, back pain, diarreah and a head ache that I can't shake.  I have an EUS scheduled for tomorrow morning.  I am nervous about what they might find, but I am ready to know what is causing me all of these problems.

My GI said me if you have Pancreatic Cancer and back pain as symptom, 100% it would be shown in the CT of abdomen (even in the ultrasound), because the cancer would be in an advanced stage.

It is not your case...

A colonoscopy doesn't look for gastritis, so I assume you got an endoscopy at the same time.  Did they tell you what could be causing the gastritis?  Yes back pain can be a symptom of pancreatic cancer but almost 100% of the time it is a symptom of something else.  Pancreatic cancer is extremely rare and the tests you've had would have shown it.

I have been diagnosed with gastritis.  I just had a colonoscopy done last week.  Found 1 polyp and removed it. i haven't received the results yet. The pain in my back still persists, although it hasn't been as bad the last few days.  Unlike some people's posts I have read, my pain isn't made worse by laying down.  It  hurts in the area where my bra strap goes and at times I can hardly stand for my strap to be touching my back.  I also have discomfort just under my breast, in the middle. My GI dr just doesn't seem to take me serious.  Isn't back pain a symptom of pancreatic cancer?  I just feel like he is waiting for me to show all of the other symptoms.  By that time it will most likely be too far gone to do anything.
